Created in 1882，the brand Clément Faugier has a long history of innovation and transmission. Indeed, back in the time, the companyemerged in a context ofeconomic crisis in the main local industrial sectors. This is in this particular context that Clément Faugier, a man deeply rooted in the local “terroir”, created the first chestnut factory in Privas in Ardèche region (France).The transmission of know-how to the children persisted and one of the sons, Jean, got closer and then allied to the main supplier of chestnuts: the Boiron family. Since 1970, Claude Boiron and today his son, Jean-David Boiron, perpetuate the tradition established by Clément FAUGIER.
